Bible Classes

Sundays (9:15 AM): Salem offers weekly classes for students of all ages (Youth Sunday School, Teen Bible Study, & Adult Spiritual Growth).  The Adult Spiritual Growth class is studying the book of Ecclesiastes.

Thursdays (7:00 PM): The Adult Evening Bible Class is studying the Old Testament Book of Isaiah.  After Easter, the Adult Evening Bible Class will resume meeting on Wednesdays.

Wednesday, February 17, 2010, is Ash Wednesday.  This year's Lenten theme is "We Preach Christ Crucified."  Individual service times and themes are:

Wednesday, February 17 (3:30 PM & 7:00 PM) - The Foolish Wisdom of the Cross (1 Corinthians 1:18-25)

Wednesday, February 24 (3:30 PM & 7:00 PM) - Justified by Grace Alone Through Faith Alone (Romans 3:21-26)

Wednesday, March 3 (3:30 PM & 7:00 PM) - More Precious Than Life (Philippians 3:7-11)

Wednesday, March 10 (3:30 PM & 7:00 PM) - The Reason to Endure (Hebrews 12:1-3)

Wednesday, March 17 (3:30 PM & 7:00 PM) - Peace with God Through Our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1-11)

Wednesday, March 24 (3:30 PM & 7:00 PM) - No Longer Dead, but Alive (Colossians 2:13-15)

Special services will also be held Maundy Thursday (April 1 at 7:00 PM) and Good Friday (April 2 at 7:00 PM).

Easter Sunday worship services will be held at 7:00 AM and 10:30 AM on April 4.  Breakfast will be served at 8:00 AM (all invited).

Time & Talent Surveys

The Stewardship Committee is asking Salem's members to submit an updated Time & Talents Survey.  A Spiritual Gifts Discovery Tool is available to help individuals identify areas of skill and interest.  Please return completed surveys to James Kruse as soon as possible, or place in his mailbox in the church entry way.
